"No Worries" sold to a collector in Miami
PRLog (Press Release) - Oct. 21, 2013 - NEW YORK — Contemporary artist Christi Scofield launched her Pop Up Theology series of paintings at the DUMBO Arts Festival last month with an exhibition at Arcilesi & Homberg Fine Art gallery (http://www.aha-fineart.com/).
"Scofield’s vibrant paintings have truly resonated with collectors," says Brooklyn gallerist Francesca Arcilesi. "We are thrilled to announce that the painting we exhibited has sold to a private collector."
The featured painting, entitled The Golden Rule, a 30” x 30” work in acrylic on canvas, is based on the Biblical concept of treating others as you would like for them to treat you.
In addition to the gallery sale, Christi Scofield Fine Art has sold two Pop Up theology paintings to collectors in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Miami, Florida.
♦ A 30” x 40” work in acrylic entitled No Worries has been purchased by a collector in Miami.
♦ A collector in Milwaukee has commissioned a 30” x 30” painting entitled My Gifts Rock.
"It is exciting to have received a commission," Scofield says from her studio in New York City. "And I’m honored that No Worries found a home with a collector affiliated with a prestigious art museum in Miami.”
Based in New York City, Scofield is known for creating artwork with positive, uplifting themes and bold, vibrant colors. Her latest series of paintings, entitled Pop Up Theology (http://christiscofield.com/), highlights inspiring messages from world religions.
